The NIH Office of Science Policy (OSP) Summer Internship places a small cohort of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students in full-time paid roles working on science policy issues including biosecurity, biomedical research ethics, genomic data sharing, and emerging technologies. Interns draft policy analyses, support interagency meetings, and contribute to white papers. The program runs approximately 10 weeks in Bethesda, MD. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required. Strong candidates have writing samples demonstrating analysis of science or technology policy.
