Summer 2026 Internship Program - Newsroom

The New York Times Summer Internship Program is a 10-week, paid program from early June to mid-August 2026. Interns work across departments including Newsroom, Technology, Advertising and Marketing. The program pays $20/hour for 35 hours per week. Interns receive training, mentorship, and the chance to work on assignments that reach a global audience. Candidates must be enrolled as full-time college students and authorized to work in the U.S. The reporting internship in New York is called the James Reston Reporting Fellowship. Applications closed in late 2025 for the Summer 2026 program.
