Illumina Summer 2026 Intern - Bioinformatics

Illumina's Bioinformatics team in San Diego, CA is hiring a summer intern for its 12-week program running June-August 2026. The intern will develop and optimize algorithms for DNA/RNA sequencing analysis, contribute to secondary analysis workflows such as DRAGEN, and support benchmarking of new sequencing chemistries. Candidates should be pursuing an MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Computer Science with programming experience in C++, Python, or Rust and familiarity with NGS data. Hourly pay is $38-$52 plus housing assistance.
