UMG 2026 Summer Internship: Business & Legal Affairs (Multiple Locations: CA, DC, NY, FL)

Universal Music Group is hiring Business & Legal Affairs Interns for its 2026 Summer Internship Program in California, Washington DC, New York, and Florida. The program runs June 8 – August 14, 2026. Interns work with in-house counsel and business affairs teams on contract negotiations, artist and repertoire deals, licensing, rights management, and policy matters across UMG's labels. Responsibilities include reviewing and summarizing contracts, conducting legal and business research, drafting memos on relevant music industry issues, and partnering with business stakeholders on deal support. Qualifications include current enrollment in a JD or MBA program (or rising senior in undergrad with relevant coursework); strong writing and analytical skills; interest in music, media, and entertainment law; and legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship. Interns typically work 20 to 40 hours a week.
