Summer 2026 Special Markets Internship

Hachette Book Group is hiring a Summer 2026 Special Markets Intern in New York, NY. Program dates are June 1, 2026 - August 6, 2026. The Special Markets team sells HBG titles into non-traditional channels including mass merchandisers, gift stores, specialty retailers, warehouse clubs, and custom publishing opportunities. Responsibilities include building sales presentation materials, researching custom publishing opportunities, supporting account management for active clients, maintaining inventory and sales tracking reports, and assisting with catalog and title information for sales meetings. Qualifications include current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program; interest in publishing and book sales; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; attention to detail; and strong written and verbal communication. The internship includes educational sessions with speakers from across HBG, networking, and career development. The internship is paid.
