2026 Confluent Software Engineering Intern Opportunity (Austin)

Confluent is hiring Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026 in Austin, TX. The 12-week internship begins in May or June 2026. You'll design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software that touches production and has customer-facing impact on Confluent Cloud (managed Apache Kafka and Flink). You'll follow best practices for software development, participate in code reviews, and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your team. Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS or related; proficiency in Java, Go, Python, or similar; familiarity with distributed systems, streaming data, or cloud infrastructure is a plus. Hybrid with three required days per week in office; housing stipend included.
