Upstart 2026 Software Engineering Intern

Upstart's 2026 Software Engineering Internship is a 12-week remote-first program (US only) for rising seniors and graduate students in Computer Science or related fields. Interns contribute production code to Upstart's AI-driven lending marketplace, working across backend services (Ruby, Python, Go), data/ML infrastructure, or consumer-facing web and mobile products. Each intern is paired with a mentor, attends weekly technical talks, and presents a final demo to the engineering organization. Ideal candidates have experience with at least one of: Ruby on Rails, Python, Go, React, or ML frameworks. Open to strong self-starters excited about applying ML to credit.
