Atom Computing is seeking a Summer 2026 Physics Research Intern in Boulder, CO to work on our neutral-atom quantum computing systems. You will support experimental physicists and engineers developing scalable arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms with high-fidelity quantum operations. Projects may include laser system characterization, optical tweezer array optimization, Rydberg-state gate protocol development, or imaging and detection pipelines. Qualifications: PhD candidate (MS with strong lab background also considered) in Atomic/Molecular/Optical Physics or closely related field; hands-on experience with lasers, optics, vacuum systems, or ultracold atom experiments; Python-based data analysis skills; strong written and verbal communication.
