Quantum Software Intern (H1 / Trapped Ion) - 2026

Quantinuum is hiring a Summer 2026 Quantum Software Intern in Broomfield, CO to contribute to our H-series trapped-ion quantum computing stack. You will work with our software engineering team on compilation, error correction software, circuit optimization, or integration of TKET and InQuanto toolchains. Responsibilities include writing tested Python/C++ code, running benchmarks against real hardware, and documenting performance improvements. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Applied Math, or Electrical Engineering; strong Python proficiency; coursework or research in quantum information, compilers, or numerical methods; experience with Qiskit, Cirq, TKET, or PennyLane valued. Must be authorized to work in the US for the internship period.
