Research Intern, ML Planning - Summer 2026

Waymo Research is hiring Summer 2026 interns to advance the state of the art in ML for autonomous driving. This ML Planning role focuses on learned behavior planning, prediction, and end-to-end driving research. You will work alongside senior research scientists, publish at top venues, and have access to petabytes of real-world driving data and Waymo's simulation platform. Qualifications: PhD candidate in ML, CS, or Robotics with publications at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, CoRL, or similar; strong PyTorch or JAX proficiency; research in planning, prediction, reinforcement learning, or imitation learning.
