Machine Learning Engineering Intern - Open Source - Summer 2026

Hugging Face is hiring a Summer 2026 ML Engineering Intern (remote, EU or US time zones) to contribute to our open-source libraries (transformers, diffusers, datasets, accelerate) and the Hub used by millions of ML practitioners. Projects may include new model integrations, performance optimization, inference improvements, or tooling for training at scale. You will ship OSS code reviewed by maintainers and used by the global ML community. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in CS or related; strong Python; prior contributions to ML open source highly valued; experience with PyTorch, Transformers, or distributed training.
