The US Forest Service is hiring Summer 2026 Pathways forestry technician interns across National Forest System units. Interns will assist silviculturists with stand exams using the FSVeg common stand exam protocol, help foresters mark timber sales, support wildfire fuels treatment monitoring, and enter field data into the Natural Resource Manager (NRM) system. Paid at GS-3/4; duty stations include units in Montana, Oregon, North Carolina, and New Mexico. U.S. citizenship required. Coursework in forestry, natural resources, or ecology preferred.
