Rapid7 is hiring Software Engineering Interns to join our InsightCloudSec, InsightVM, and InsightIDR engineering teams for Summer 2026. You will work alongside full-time engineers to ship production features, write tests, and participate in team ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retros. Projects may include building vulnerability analytics pipelines, improving our cloud security scanner performance, adding new detections to our XDR platform, or developing UI components in our React-based Insight console. Qualifications: rising junior or senior pursuing BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering with expected graduation Dec 2026 - Jun 2027; proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, Scala, Go, or TypeScript; experience with Git, unit testing, and modern development workflows. Rapid7's 10-week internship includes mentorship, weekly tech talks, and a capstone presentation.
