Application Security Engineer Intern - Summer 2026

HackerOne is hiring an Application Security Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to help secure the platform that powers the world's largest community of ethical hackers. You will perform code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability triage across HackerOne's Rails and Go services; collaborate with our bug bounty program on external reports; and develop security automation tooling. Qualifications: pursuing a BS/MS in Cybersecurity or Computer Science; hands-on experience with web application security (OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite); familiarity with Ruby, Go, or Python; prior CTF placements, bug bounty participation on HackerOne or Bugcrowd, or an active personal research blog strongly preferred. HackerOne interns work remotely across the US and receive competitive pay plus a swag package.
