Accounting Internship - Summer 2026

Wipfli's Summer 2026 Accounting Internship in Detroit offers hands-on experience in both tax and audit service lines supporting the firm's Michigan-region middle-market and closely held business clients. Interns prepare individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns and projections per firm and professional standards; perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures; communicate with engagement leaders on open items and testing issues; and prepare or review client-prepared financial statements and footnotes. Wipfli provides structured intern training, mentorship, and CPA exam review support. Requires a bachelor's or master's in accounting, completion of corporate or individual taxation coursework, 3.0+ GPA preferred, and 150-credit CPA pathway.
