Software Engineering Intern, Summer 2026

Substack's Engineering Internship is a 12-week paid program where interns ship production features to the publishing platform used by millions of writers and readers. Projects span the web reader, Notes feed ranking, recommendations, and publisher monetization tools. Interns partner with a senior engineering mentor, attend weekly architecture deep-dives with the CTO, and present a capstone demo to the engineering org at the end of the program. Strong performers receive full-time new-grad offers.
