Research Intern - Blockchain

Mysten Labs, the team behind the Sui blockchain and Move programming language, is hiring a Research Intern - Blockchain. The internship is open to PhD students with profound research acumen and a genuine interest in blockchain technology. Interns will work closely with experts in both academia and industry on research spanning distributed and concurrent systems, cryptography, security, distributed computing, and incentives / mechanism design. You will enjoy a high degree of ownership and autonomy, design and prototype novel protocols or primitives, and potentially co-author research publications. Requirements: currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science or a related field; strong background in at least one of distributed systems, cryptography, or game theory; ability to write production-quality research code (Rust preferred); passion for public blockchain systems. Remote-first team hiring across the US and Europe. Paid internship.
