Critical Facilities Engineering Intern — Summer 2026

Digital Realty owns and operates 300+ data centers globally under the PlatformDIGITAL brand. Our Critical Facilities Engineering Intern will support the design and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in one of our Northern Virginia hyperscale builds. You will work alongside licensed PEs reviewing CFD models, participating in Level 3-5 commissioning scripts, walking construction sites with our QA team, and contributing to root-cause analyses on recent alarms. Expect exposure to 2N UPS topologies, chilled water plants, and emerging liquid cooling technologies. Qualifications: pursuing BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; GPA 3.3+; coursework in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, or power systems; willingness to wear PPE in active construction environments; 10-week program starting May 26, 2026.
