Akamai Technologies — Platform Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

Akamai powers and protects life online, operating the world's most distributed edge and cloud platform. As a Platform Engineering Intern at our Cambridge HQ, you will join one of our Connected Cloud, Edge Delivery, or Security teams. Sample projects include optimizing Linode compute instance provisioning, improving anycast BGP monitoring, enhancing Bot Manager ML signals, or building developer tooling for our global edge network. You will contribute production code, participate in design reviews, and present your work at the end-of-summer showcase. Qualifications: pursuing BS/MS in CS, EE, or related; proficiency in C, C++, Go, or Python; strong systems fundamentals.
